Calling all members! 

The Sacramento Valley RIMS Board of Directors is exploring new ways to revitalize and strengthen our chapter—and we need your involvement to make it happen! With a few long-standing board members planning to retire within the next year, now is the perfect time to bring in fresh perspectives, energy, and leadership.

We are currently forming a Nominating Committee to identify and recommend qualified candidates for open positions on the Sacramento Valley RIMS Chapter Board of Directors. While many current Board members have expressed interest in continuing their service, we would like to extend the opportunity to new members who are ready to contribute their leadership and join our Board of Directors.

If you're passionate about advancing our chapter and making a meaningful impact, we encourage you to get involved. To express your interest or to be considered for a Board position, please contact Yvanne Bolano at [email protected] by August 30, 2025.

We are currently accepting nominations for the following positions:

• President
• Vice President
• Treasurer
• Secretary
• Director
• Membership and Engagement
• Programming
• Sponsorship

It is important to note that, per the chapter's bylaws, any individual serving as an officer must be a RIMS Professional Member—meaning they must be a Risk Manager or staff of an organization. Associate Members, such as vendors or service providers, are not eligible to serve as officers. However, Associate Members can serve as Directors.

With that in mind, we are in discussion of revising our Bylaws to allow more than two Associate Members to hold Director positions. In the meantime, we encourage Associate Members to step forward and consider filling these available Director roles.

Elections will take place during our Annual Meeting on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 9:00 AM via Zoom.
